About the Role
Eastern Health is now recruiting Post Graduate students for 2024 within a number of areas of specialty practice. We are currently offering clinical positions within the Mental Health program where you will be offered the opportunity to rotate through a number of Mental Health specialty areas. Possibilities include rotations with Eastern Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service, Mobile Support and Treatment Service, Community Care Unit, Acute Adolescent, Adult and Older Adult Inpatient Services and Drug & Alcohol Services. We have primary partnerships with various Universities and you will be supported by clinical experts and experienced members of the Mental Health Learning and Teaching Directorate.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Nursing or other recognised equivalent formal qualification leading to condition free registration in Australia
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA
- 12 months’ post registration employment experience, inclusive of six months’ experience in contemporary acute Mental Health
- Be enrolled in or committ to enrolling into a Post Graduate Diploma of Mental Health Nursing
- Demonstrated clinical skills aligned with experience and scope of practice
- Motivated and self-directed learner who is receptive to feedback
- Well-developed communication skills
- Patient centred practice
- Passion for clinical excellence
- Willingness to engage in clinical supervision practice
- Willingness to work rotating roster
- A current valid Victorian Drivers Licence
- Up to date Vaccinations COVID-19 & Influenza
