MARS Recruitment are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join a new and innovative private practice in the Hunter Region NSW. Become an essential part of a close-knit and dedicated team who are passionate about improving the lives of children, adolescents and families!

Location include: Upper Hunter or Cessnock

This role will be primarily assisting adults, therefore experience in this sector is preferred. There will opportunity to transition into other areas of the business should this be preferred such as NDIS, Medicare, Full Fee services with a patient caseload of varied age demographics.

The Requirements

  • Mental Health Nurse
  • Mental Health Occupational Therapist
  • Mental Health Social Worker
  • First Nation Health Worker


This MDT consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologist's, Clinical and Registered Psychologist's, and Allied Health Assistants. This team supports patients via PHN - Primary Health Network.

You will become an essential part of a dedicated, experienced and friendly team of professionals that provide an innovative service that shines a light on the youth and well-being of children, youth and adults to enable them to be everything they can be.

This organisation has operating in the Central Coast region since 2016, and due to continued growth and service expansion, they seeking amazingMental Health Clinicians to join their team!

About the Role

  • Conduct a range of initial assessments, working closely with patients.
  • You will effectively assess the nature of how various disorders can affect the mind, behaviors and developmental status.
  • Provide efficient therapy and interventions, ensuring you use sound clinical reasoning and an individualised approach.
  • Providing consultation and advice to care teams, professionals and families
  • Have the ability to develop high quality reports and letters
  • You will provide an unbiased, non-judgmental view to help to ease the symptoms disorders and provide new perspectives and strategies on how to better deal with life's dilemmas as they arise.
  • Be supported to pursue your clinical interests and passions under a professional development plan

The Benefits
You will receive:

  • A salary between $80,000 to $120,000 + super + bonus incentives - commensurate with experience.
  • A PD fund of up to $3,000 annually

Who they are looking for?
To apply for the role, we would like you to have:
Tertiary level qualification and FULL registrations in one of the below disciplines:

  • Psychologist
  • Clinical Psychologist
  • Mental Health Nurse
  • Mental Health Occupational Therapist
  • Mental Health Social Worker
  • First Nation Health Worker

Additional:

  • Experienced in providing services to adults.
  • AHPRA registration or AASW Registration
  • PACFA or ACAS - Counsellors (or eligibility now or in the near future)
  • Eligibility to provide NDIS and Medicare services
  • Experience in or a passion for working with children, youth and families
  • A strong commitment to your own learning and growth
  • COVID Vaccine + Booster
  • WWCC + NPC + NDIS WORKERS CHECK - Or a willingness to obtain.
