TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of Mental Health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.
TeamHEALTH’s range of programs provide increased opportunities of recovery for people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness. The aim of services provided is to support recovery, reduce social isolation, improve independent living, family wellbeing, employment and education outcomes. Using a strengths-based approach, and providing intensive one-to-one support, individuals are:
- provided access to appropriate support services at the right time;
- enabled to build upon personal capacity, confidence and self-reliance;
- supported in community participation, and;
- provided practical assistance to manage daily activities.
In collaboration with Mission Australia and other service providers at the Batten Road facility the Integrated Homelessness Support Accommodation Program (IHSAP) is a Homelessness and Wellbeing Program that utilises a recovery orientated framework and service delivery model based on holistic, psychosocial rehabilitation. Supports are provided on an in-reach basis, and in coordination and integrated within a stepped care approach to Mental Healthcare.
Reporting to the Community Mental Health Nurse the Mental Health Recovery Worker assists participants in a strengths based, psychosocial rehabilitation framework, with a focus on the life areas of living, learning, working and socialising. The Mental Health Recovery Worker position work as a key contributing member of the IHSAP case management team

The successful applicant will be required to have a current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Working with Children Card (Ochre), NT Driver’s Licence and completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
