Summary:
The Mental Health Specialist will provide Mental Health services to individuals and families in the community services and development industry. They will assess and diagnose Mental Health conditions, create treatment plans, provide counselling, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Mental Health assessments
- Develop personalised treatment plans
- Provide counselling and psychotherapy
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Analyse data to evaluate intervention effectiveness
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
- Participate in Mental Health program development and delivery
- Provide crisis intervention services
- Stay up-to-date on Mental Health trends and research
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mental Health, counselling, or related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in Mental Health counselling
- Must be licensed as a Mental Health professional
- Strong knowledge of Mental Health issues and therapy techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Knowledge of ethical principles and guidelines for Mental Health professionals
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
