Experience a Variety of Responsibilities
As a Support Worker at Indigo Support, your role will encompass a diverse range of tasks. You'll assist our clients with their daily lives, encouraging and supporting them to work on their Mental Health recovery goals. No two days will be the same! Our clients are all individuals and we prefer to place Support Workers with client's who have shared interests - it just makes sense!
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating care plans and making a meaningful difference in both the team and our clients' lives.
- Conducting environmental risk assessments and ensuring safety.
- Building rapport and trust quickly with clients.
- Effectively communicating with diverse personalities within the team.
- Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and remaining calm under pressure.
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions.
- Following processes meticulously.
- Engaging in honest self-reflection regarding your performance.
- Possessing general computer skills.
- Excelling in documentation and reporting.
Essential Requirements for the Role:
- NDIS workers screening check or ability to obtain.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.
- First aid / CPR certificate or ability to obtain.
- Driver's licence and well-maintained, fully insured vehicle.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confidence in driving.
- Possessing initiative and the ability to think outside of the box.
- Excellent people skills and rapport-building abilities.
- Adaptability to different personalities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments while remaining composed.
- Competence in demonstrating safe task completion.
- Efficient time management.
- Understanding and effective utilisation of different team dynamics.
- Compliance with processes and procedures.
