The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing Mental Health support and counseling to individuals and groups experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties. They assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to help clients manage their emotional and psychological issues. The Mental Health Therapist should have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare providers. Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for clients with Mental Health disorders
- Conduct individual or group therapy sessions and monitor progress
- Establish a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and provide emotional support, active listening, and guidance throughout the recovery process
- Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Apply legal and ethical issues related to Mental Health counseling in treatment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, tools, and techniques used in Mental Health therapy
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field
- Licensed or certified in their state
- Prior experience working in a Mental Health setting
- Highly empathetic with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
