Your Role at Nextt: At Nextt, our disability support workers play a pivotal role in organising and executing daily activities for our clients, which includes providing personal care, assistance with domestic tasks, and facilitating community access.
We currently have several vacancies in the CoffsHarbour area for Female Mental Health Disability Support Workers working with our Clients. Our two clients are in their early 20s and require assistance with community access & daily living.
Desired Skillset:
- Previous experience with trauma or complex Mental Health
- Experience working with challenging behaviours
- History of working with indigenous families - desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Exposure to Trauma-Informed Practices - desirable
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training - desirable
Available Shifts
Daily shifts available from Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm with expressions of interest for availability for shifts for monthly respite
Your Certificates and Licences:
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Current)
- Working with Children Check (Current)
- Australian Driver's License
- Comprehensive Insurance on Vehicle
- NDIS Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- First Aid and CPR (Current)
