And now, we're looking for a Merchandise Assistant to join the Merchandise & Planning team in this pivotal role, responsible for organising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth allocation, replenishment & delivery stock from the Distribution Centre to stores.
The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:
Pre-allocate new products before they arrive at the Distribution Centre
Allocating weekly replenishment from the Distribution Centre to stores
Assist the Product Team to maintain stock reorders
Amend allocations or replenishment as directed by the Merchandiser or Merchandise Assistant
Create and maintain purchase orders on the JD system within a specific product area
Assist the Merchandiser with ensuring all purchase orders are received and processed by the Distribution Centre
Produce price amendments as directed by Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser and communicate to Retail
Review all costs, retail and GM within a specific product file prior to receipt highlighting to Merchandiser and wider team and amending as directed
Create and compile reports where necessary for both internal and external vendors
Who You Are
Experience in the Retail Industry is essential
Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to handle large volume of tasks and work to tight deadlines
Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn
