And now, we're looking for a Merchandise Assistant to join the Merchandise & Planning team in this pivotal role, responsible for organising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth allocation, replenishment & delivery stock from the Distribution Centre to stores.

The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Pre-allocate new products before they arrive at the Distribution Centre
• Allocating weekly replenishment from the Distribution Centre to stores
• Assist the Product Team to maintain stock reorders
• Amend allocations or replenishment as directed by the Merchandiser or Merchandise Assistant
• Create and maintain purchase orders on the JD system within a specific product area
• Assist the Merchandiser with ensuring all purchase orders are received and processed by the Distribution Centre
• Produce price amendments as directed by Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser and communicate to Retail
• Review all costs, retail and GM within a specific product file prior to receipt highlighting to Merchandiser and wider team and amending as directed
• Create and compile reports where necessary for both internal and external vendors

Who You Are

• Experience in the Retail Industry is essential
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to handle large volume of tasks and work to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn
