Join our dynamic team at Wizard Professional Services as a Merchandise Buying Assistant. Reporting to the Merchandise Buying Manager, you will play a pivotal role in analysing pricing and promotional data, driving marketing campaigns, and fostering strong supplier relationships. As the Merchandise Buying Assistant, you will have the opportunity to implement effective consumer promotional strategies and contribute to the growth and success of our merchandise categories.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for creating and improving processes and templates to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the buying team regarding project progress, deadlines, and any potential issues or questions that may arise.
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed to a high standard with high attention to detail, upholding Wizard Pharmacy's reputation.
  • Make sure that our client Help Desk system is up to date and all tasks are being responded to and resolved promptly. The Buying Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring any requests sent by the Merchandise Buyers that involves other departments to complete, are completed within the given deadline.
  • Maintain accurate records, including completing new product information, requesting product images and supplier presentations, and keeping the new line tracker up to date. 
  • Develop and maintain buy plans, collaborating with buyers to align purchasing strategies with company goals.
  • Send out notices as required, keeping relevant stakeholders informed of important updates
  • Work closely with the footwear buyer to assist with the upkeep of our buy plan, indent orders based on feedback from buyer, as well as communication with franchise teams and suppliers as required. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 + Years administration and/or pharmacy experience required
  • Experience in an administration role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PC skills.
