Our Merchandise team is sourcing a superstar Planner to support store operations in a 12 month contract.
This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Planner to get your foot in the door with a leading retailer, and experience what it takes to support parents and children all over Australia and New Zealand.
The Role
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, Merchandise planners have an ultimate goal to maximise sales and profit by working with key stakeholders in the business to optimise stock in our 70+ stores over Australia and New Zealand.
Manage Open to Buy and work with Buyers to grow the portfolio and achieve strategic plans & budgets. Financial planning & reforecasting will be a critical element, as well as developing and coaching direct reports.
Key Deliverables
Financial Planning
- Build merchandise plans
- Execute business strategy with Buyer.
- Managing significant Open to Buy.
Product Distribution and Allocation
- Forecast stock requirements
- Work with Planning Assistants to quantify and stock flow.
- Quantify new store purchases based on stores, planogram, and turnover.
- Review the demand forecast in RELEX.
Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting to capture progress on key metrics.
- Highlight any anomalies, and create succession plans.
Supplier Management
- Forecast and supply stock demands.
- Supplier performance analysis and reporting.
About YOU
- Proven experience in Merchandise Planning
- Enjoyment working in a fast paced, multi-channel environment
- Strong forecasting and financial management, with the ability to understand data and act on market trends/store demands
- Experience with REFLEX or similar platforms
