Senior Merchandise Planner

We are on the search for a strategic Senior Planner for this dynamic Australian retailer, incredibly successful in their market share. This is a strong retailer where you can grow & expand your career into many potential areas of inventory management & merchandise - you won't just be limited to Merchandise Planning.

A fast-paced portfolio, you will already have the fundamentals of merchandise planning, know how to trade a business & be able to demonstrate that good relationships are key across all key touch points of your role. Whether that is suppliers, DC's, Stores, Buyers, direct reports, you know how to lead through great stakeholder relationships. 

You will have a proven background in managing & growing a retail business with critical & strategic thinking. As the retail landscape continues to change & evolve you know how to do the same.

If you can demonstrate that you are a strong merchant and planner with the knowledge and experience to trade a dynamic product category, the benefits of this organisation are certainly to be considered.

This opportunity will require the following skills and experience;

• Experience within a fast paced planning environment, coupled with knowledge in managing a diverse portfolio of categories, suppliers and core programmes. 
• Proven experience in analysing historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by category and make strategic recommendations.
• Conduct weekly, monthly SWOT and post seasonal analysis
• Review and critique the range to ensure all brand strategies and financial KPI’s are being met at all times. 
• Strong Communication & Collaborate with all key stakeholders, partners and functions to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities. 
• Analyse and re-forecast actual sales to plan, whilst managing inventory levels, markdowns and profit. 
• Influence and strategically collaborate with Buyers to ensure the brand achieves, grows and exceeds all KPI's. 
• Develop and coach direct reports to achieve performance expectations and individual career goals.
