Metal Fabricator - Signage

Usher Group Signage Solutions designs and manufactures high-quality signage for retail, commercial, Health and Educational construction sectors nationally. As an Aluminium and Steel Signage Fabricator, you will specialize in the production of signage components using aluminium and steel materials. Your role will involve fabricating, assembling, and finishing signage products with precision and attention to detail. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality signage solutions that meet client specifications and expectations.

Experience in aluminium, steel fabrication an welding techniques, adhering to production deadlines, and creative in working with bespoke designs.

• Material Preparation: Select, measure, and prepare aluminium and steel materials for fabrication, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Cut, bend, and shape materials using fabrication machinery and tools.
• Welding and Joining: Perform welding and joining operations to assemble aluminium and steel components into finished signage products. Employ various welding techniques, including MIG, and spot welding, to achieve strong and durable bonds.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on fabricated signage components to verify dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. Identify and address any defects or imperfections in the fabrication process.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to review design specifications, provide input on fabrication feasibility, and ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of fabrication equipment, including welding machines, saws, and grinders, pan brakes and guillotines to ensure optimal performance and safety. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when operating machinery, handling materials, and performing fabrication tasks. Maintain a safe and organized work environment to minimize risks and hazards.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of materials used, fabrication processes, and any deviations from design specifications. Document and communicate fabrication challenges or opportunities for process improvement. Perform welding and joining operations to assemble aluminium and steel components into finished signage products.

Qualifications:  

• Previous experience as a signage fabricator with a focus on aluminium and steel materials.
• Proficiency in welding techniques for aluminium and steel, including MIG, and spot welding.
• Strong technical skills in material preparation, cutting, bending, and shaping of aluminium and steel components.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work standing for extended periods.
