About the role:
Due to our increased testing schedules, we are seeking a Microbiologist to support our current Microbiologist with the day-to-day laboratory testing.
You will work in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment performing environmental monitoring and testing of raw materials and finished products for Quality Assurance and Research & Development.
The role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a driven and capable team. The suitable candidate will need to be willing and able to work both collaboratively in a team environment and autonomously on delegated tasks to achieve goals.
Key Duties:
- General maintenance of the laboratory, equipment, and laboratory consumables.
- Perform GMP activities and complete documentation (i.e., environmental monitoring of the production facilities, cleaning validations).
- Prepare samples for microbial testing.
- Prepare buffers and media for microbial testing.
- Perform sterility and growth promotion testing of media, diluents, and buffers.
- Perform water testing, microbial testing, and preservative efficacy testing.
- Adhere to the procedure/SOP under the guidance of the Microbiologist.
- Participate in the laboratory improvement.
- Other duties as directed by the laboratory management team.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in microbiology. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and prioritise.
- Working productively within a team is critical.
- Experience in GLP is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of GMP is desirable but training will be provided.
