Job description

Reporting to the Director of Legal Operations the Microsoft Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing innovative software solutions to both client and internal legal challenges, and for automating routine and standardised workflows to make client work more efficient.
Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative software solutions to support the delivery of legal services to clients and to address clients' legal, compliance, and regulatory challenges by integrating Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions with existing systems and data sources to create seamless experiences for end-users
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring that solutions are scalable, efficient, and effective
  • Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, and other professionals to identify opportunities to automate routine and standardised workflows and to develop new technology-driven solutions to legal challenges and design innovative solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies.
  • Conduct research on emerging legal technologies and provide recommendations on their adoption and implementation including identifying opportunities for process automation and leverage Power Automate to streamline business operations
  • Drive innovation across the Firm by identifying new technology trends, proposing new solutions, and developing prototypes · Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and other third-party service providers
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing technology systems and processes and make recommendations for enhancements by developing, customising and maintaining applications, workflows, and business processes using Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and other relevant platforms
  • Work closely with the Information Technology team to ensure that technology solutions are integrated with existing systems and are in line with the firm's overall technology strategy
  • Conduct user training and support activities to ensure that technology solutions are used effectively including ensuring the security and compliance of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions, diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Microsoft 365 and Power Platform applications, providing training and support to end-users, empowering them to maximize the benefits of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools while following best practices and company policies
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an IT Developer with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Azure CLI for automating routine tasks and managing Azure resources and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability, willingness and determination to deliver, with quality relationship-building skills that are necessary to effect change through influencing, expertise and demonstrable results.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in Dataverse and Azure applicationsincluding an understanding of Azure security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups (NSGs), and encryption mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of Azure compliance standards and the ability to ensure that Azure applications meet regulatory requirements including familiarity with Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center for proactive monitoring and threat detection
  • Demonstrated knowledge and strength in leading technologies and implementation of innovation solutions, active engagement with industry and new developments including knowledge of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Leader and team player; shares knowledge and works collaboratively demonstrating mutual respect.
  • Working knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to participate in client meetings and pitches.
  • Ability to think strategically while also able to execute at a tactical level.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem identification, and resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in the context of Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate) are desirable
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate will be highly regarded
