The CBA technology unit delivers the best digital banking services to Commonwealth Bank customers and to do so is responsible for digital delivery, group data and analytics, technology and technology infrastructure, cyber, fraud, physical security and business resilience for all divisions across CBA. It is also dedicated to delivering the best workplace technology experience for our over 53,000 people across CBA and focused on providing the latest tools, technology, and resources to enhance the way we work together and empower our people to achieve more for our customers.
You’ll be joining a team of highly skilled engineers who are responsible for providing specialised expertise in Power Platform and business automation to CBA business users.
As a Senior Engineer you’ll come with a solid background in developing and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, as well as experience with macros. Working in a consultative team environment and driving the automation of processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
  • Have demonstrated experience in automating processes and workflows utilising the Power Platform stack.
  • Are able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide and provide technical consultation that will help the teams to optimise their work output.
  • Transition existing automation processes from an incumbent environment (macros) to the Power platform where applicable.
  • Can support, guide and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Are capable of working independently and have excellent collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Have a strong Risk Mindset - All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify, understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
Tech Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI is essential.
  • Expertise with macros, either in Word or Excel are highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (such as API Management, Blob Storage, SQL, Logic Apps, Key Vault) and SharePoint Framework, are highly desirable.
