This Melbourne-based practice has a global reach and are recognized leaders in the delivery of large-scale, luxury hotel projects. An exciting opportunity has arisen for mid - senior FF&E designers to join their team. As an FF&E you will bring your experience within the hotel sector to design, document, and propose FF&E selections. As an FF&E designer, you will support the Design Leader and FF&E Leader with the development of the design vision through FF&E direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the project record of all design selections, filing images, and file naming to record the origin of materials and design selection as per studio protocols.
- Responsible for the project ID FF&E coding
- Performs first pass QA of ID layout and furniture plans concerning ID + FF&E specification.
- Collaborates with the project team to create digital ID material finishes + FFE boards for Concept Presentation
- Produce the ID + FFE Specification Document, including furniture, carpet, and decorative lighting documentation, within guidance from the FF&E Delivery Leader
- Accountable for the design communication packages
- Supports the design team with elements of the design documentation as required
- assists in the development of narrative, concept images, and design selections for overall design vision in the concept phase
- Responsible for organization of final review of all material finishes and fabrics - engaging of all relevant stakeholders to gain approvals prior to issuance.
Skills & Experience
- Diploma or higher qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Sketch Up
- Minimum 2 years of Commercial - Hospitality, Hotel, or F&B Interior Design preferred
- Excellent design communication skills
- Time Management - create schedules of tasks/time & set milestones
- Industry knowledge of ID materials and FF&E
