The Position
Under limited direction of the Clinical Midwifery Manager you will perform the level 2 Registered Midwife position. You will
Demonstrate clinical leadership and expertise in a chosen area of maternity including antenatal, intrapartum, or postnatal care
Co-ordinate and provide advanced midwifery care to women in antenatal, postnatal, and birthing settings in accordance with Policies and Procedures, National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral and relevant legislation.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team approach, including patient flow services, to facilitate timely, coordinated, and appropriate care of a high standard according to evidence based practice. This includes providing a supportive educational environment to enable women and their families to make informed choices about their care.
In consultation with the Clinical Midwifery Manager, demonstrate responsibility for human and material resources to facilitate the delivery of a safe standard of care for all consumers
Participate in the development and review of policy, procedures, quality activities and clinical meetings to build an environment of excellence in midwifery care
Essential Criteria
Be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
The successful applicant will need to be available for rotational shift work roster which includes weekends, night duty and public holidays
Must hold current drivers license
