The Royal Hospital for Women is seeking a Midwifery Clinical Co-Director with vision to lead our Maternity service. The Royal Hospital for Women provides the highest standard of maternity care with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and woman-centered care. The Midwifery Clinical Co-Director is responsible for the maternity division which promotes contemporary and innovative models of care, multidisciplinary collaboration and facilitating professional development opportunities for all staff working within the division.
The Midwifery Clinical Co-Director is a key partner to the RHW executive and is accountable for effective clinical and corporate governance, strategic management, service planning and efficient allocation of the maternity division resources.
The Royal Hospital for Women at Randwick is the only hospital in NSW dedicated solely to the health needs of women and babies.

- Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in an acute maternity service with operational management expertise.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary clinical practice, models of care, with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve service and professional goals.
- Experience in financial management, including cost centre management and staffing profiles and the ability to develop financial strategies and achieve goals.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with proven mediation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading a team to develop and implement new models of care and general project management.
