Position
Steel Manufacturing workshop based in Capalaba is seeking experiencedMIG Welder/Fabricator (Must have steel MIG & fabrication experience).
Role
As part of Steel Manufacturing team, you’ll be responsible for interpreting manufacturing drawings for each project, cutting and preparing steel components to the correct specifications of the manufacturing drawings. This role requires high-quality fabrication of premium Steel Trays.
You'll also be expected to be part of a safe and clean work environment, working as a team to ensure timelines are met to satisfy our customer's needs.
Successful candidates will be expected to be part of the team and maintain the exacting standards that are in line with Duratray’s company values and to be inclusive in the lean continuous improvement culture we have adopted within Duratray Transport Equipment.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Duratray Transport Equipment is looking for either a Trade Qualified Welder, 2nd Class Welder, Welder, Steel Fabricator with experience in the following areas:
- Competency in MIG welding steel.
- Competency in general steel fabrication.
- Experience in the use of fabrication equipment such as presses, punches, benders, guillotines, saws, and Oxy Acetylene and power tools.
You will also be expected to be able to work with basic math and measurement skills, have effective communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
