Your New Organisation One of the
State’slargest community legal organisations is participating in a pilot programsupporting women on temporary visas who are experiencing domestics andfamily violence. Through this new program, you will be involved in theprovision of immigration legal support to those eligible women. Your
New RoleWorking alongside some of the mostpassionate and talented female lawyers, your day to day role will include:Providing legal advice, case work and representation in the area ofmigration law to women who hold a temporary visa (including bridging visaor no visa), who are experiencing domestic and family violence and arefinancially disadvantaged; and
Representing clients in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, FederalCircuit Court and Federal Court of Australia, Magistrates Court and
Children’s Court as a solicitor advocate or briefing counsel whereappropriate. Your Skills Profile
At least 4 years PAE with a background in migration law (experience infamily law and domestic violence, child protection and child support aredesirable). Experience in litigation and court advocacy in the Federal CircuitCourt and Federal Court of Australia, Magistrates Court and
Children’s Court. Ability to communicate effectively and work sensitively with clientsfrom diverse backgrounds; Exceptional interpersonal skills and well-developed relationshipmanagement skills.
