Bunbury Fibre Exports (BFE) is a leading Australian processor and supplier of plantation woodchip into the international Pulp and Paper Industry. BFE is based at Berth 8 within the Port of Bunbury.
About the role
We are looking for a safety focused, reliable, adaptable and positive individual to join our Mill Processing team in the role of Mill Operator.
You will assist with the day-to-day operations of receiving and processing of wood product supplies, all the while enjoying a lifestyle roster. You will need to be a multi skilled individual who has a genuine aptitude for and interest in heavy machinery operations / plant equipment and forestry industry with a can-do-attitude for learning a variety of other tasks and challenges.
You are responsible (but not limited) to the following:
- Front End Loader Operation (bucket and log forks)
- Excavator Operation
- Bulldozer Operation
- Heavy Rigid Truck operation
- Basic maintenance of plant and equipment
- Seasonal infield plantation tasks as required
- Site cleanliness and amenity
To be considered for this position you must be able demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 3 years experience in machine operation - desirable
- HR Drivers Licence - desirable
- Possess a Current Drivers Licence - essential
- Must be able to obtain a Port Access Card (PAC)
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
