Job description

The Role

We currently have opportunities for suitably qualified/experienced Electricians to join our busy maintenance team at our stockfeed mill in Welshpool. You must hold the recognised Trade Certification as an Electrician or hold equivalent Qualifications and have the right to work in Australia. Ideally you have had previous experience in a manufacturing, mining or construction environment.  Applicants with experience in the Milling industry will be highly regarded. 

We are looking for people who:

  • are motivated and practical: a problem solver with an eye for detail and energy for maintaining existing plant and machinery for longevity and efficiency
  • have very good mechanical aptitude and a problem-solving mindset
  • can demonstrate well-developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • are experience in assessing and rectifying failures
  • have well-developed time management, communication and teamwork skills
  • have the ability to work in a small team and/or without close supervision
  • thrive while working under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • are physically fit and able to undertake manual work
  • it is beneficial but not essential to have experience with Milling systems, Working at Heights and Confined Space entry tickets
  • High Risk Licenses highly regarded

Duties include:

  • performing scheduled maintenance and attending breakdowns on various machinery within the Mill facility
  • focus on health, safety and environment within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • following company work instructions, policies and procedures
  • Availability for rostered call out and overtime work as required

Applicants are required to undertake a pre-employment medical examination to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
