About the role
As a frontline leader, you will be responsible for the day to day functioning and performance of the crew. You will effectively manage people and equipment to carry out planned work activities. This role also has statutory obligations.
The minimum skills and expectations for this role are, but not limited to:
- Prioritizing of activities with the crew to achieve targets;
- Provide leadership to the crew setting a positive example and assisting the team to achieve their full potential;
- Clearly define and communicate performance goals and provide regular and objective feedback on performance;
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carrying our statutory inspections and mine standards;
- Ensuring all workers work safety and efficiently whilst carrying out their duties with due regard for quality of work;
- Complete required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site.

Got what it takes?
To be successful in this role you will have a Queensland First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency or a Queensland Mutual Recognition. Or if you are willing to work towards achieving mutual recognition of competency from NSW to QLD. You will be able to think laterally, have strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
