The Aurenne Group is a private company who acquired the historic Mt Ida - Bottle Creek gold field, 80 km north-west of Menzies in 2019. Last mined by Norgold in the late 1980’s, we have a combined tenement package of 400km in a highly prospective setting for both gold and lithium.

As the Open PitMine Geologist, you will be responsible for providing geological expertise with identifying, mapping, and designating material classification and characteristics to maximise ore recovery. Further to this, you will help to continually refine and improve the forward-looking geological models and positively contribute to the accuracy of mine planning grade and tonnage forecasting.
Your duties will include:
• Assisting with grade control drill programs, including daily management, drill planning and scheduling, liaising with grade control drillers, and data validation.
• Interpretation of the deposit’s mineralisation, lithology and structure by in-pit mapping and sampling.
• Understand, document, and communicate the geology of the Open Pit mine.
• Work with technical services to extract mineralised domains in a way that mitigates superfluous dilution and maximises recovery, while achieving production targets.
• Design ore blocks, conduct ore mark outs, ore spotting and bench mapping to reduce dilution, maximise recovery of ore and to ensure correct stockpile control.
• Collation of geological and production data and reports to assist with daily mine geological services.
• Provide ongoing feedback to mining and technical services on progress of targets and KPIs.
• Maintain communication, including daily, weekly and monthly tracking of ore movements.
