Aury NHL are an Global OEM manufacturer of world class off-highway mining trucks and operates in over 63 countries and region throughout the world. Having successfully delivered the first haul trucks in Australia, NHL are now looking to consolidate our warranty service team and as such are currently seeking experienced Plant Mechanics to join a committed work team located in the NSW Hunter Valley.
The role will include warranty repairs, preventative maintenance, service & repairs on haul truck equipment. This role will form the nucleus of the Mine Site-based service and support team. This offers a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing OEM organisation committed to providing supply of world class haul trucks and fast & reliable after sales service & spare parts for all its customers.
Reporting to Service Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic is responsible for, warranty support, servicing, repairing and replacement of mechanical equipment systems across the mobile heavy-duty haulage fleet and include:
- Perform the assembly, servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with maintenance systems documentation
- Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change.
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
- Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment and maximise equipment utilization
- Routine servicing of all equipment both site workshop and field based
- Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
- Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment and JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis) and SWP’s (Safe Work Procedures) where necessary for specific work areas.
- Diagnose faults and repair of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Identify, capture and supply required information for the Product Information Report (PIR) to the branch
- Carry out daily machinery inspections including fault finding and repair identification
- Compile defect list and parts listing required to rectify identified defects
- Provide product support to customers, solutions, and advise customers on maintenance specifics
- Ensure the customer is supplied with all applicable communication relevant to goods and services provided.
- Repair damaged or faulty parts
- Lubricate plant and equipment
- Planned Maintenance services, repairs and general maintenance tasks on a range of mobile plant equipment including excavators, hydraulic shovels and drills
- Workshop and Field services whilst liaising with equipment operators on potential problems and technical errors.
Role Requirements
- Mechanical Tradesperson Certificate of Proficiency
- Class C Driver License
- High Risk Work License - LF, DG, WP
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Previous Experience conducting servicing, repair, breakdowns, fault diagnostics, maintenance on Heavy Mobile Equipment
- Previous Ultra-Class Electric Drive Haul Truck experience
- Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm
- Self-motivated and strong work ethic
- Willing to learn from OEM support technicians
- Demonstrating commitment to safety culture and values;
- Residents &/or citizens of Australia (essential)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with assembly of Electric Drive haul Trucks highly regarded
- Experience with Terrex Electric Haul trucks
- Previous OEM experience (advantageous)
- Mine site experience
