About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and proactive Mining Engineer with a background in landform design and scheduling experience to join the Rehabilitation Team at our Cataby and Eneabba mine sites in the Mid-West approximately 150km's and 275km's north of Perth.
Reporting to the Mid-West Rehabilitation Manager, the key element of this role is to provide technical expertise on practical solutions to ensure the ongoing efficient delivery of rehabilitation objectives for the Mid-West Rehabilitation sites.
The successful candidate will strive to deliver high quality results, be an effective communicator, make strategic decisions and can effectively engage with individuals and teams across the Operations.
The position is based at our Cataby operation and offered on a roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off rotation. You may choose to Drive in, Drive out (DIDO) and reside at our residential village accommodation or live in close proximity to site in one of the nearby coastal locations.
Key elements of the role include:
The generation of design surfaces including drainage and landforms for agricultural and native vegetation environments
Create land restoration implementation plans to achieve correct rehabilitation processes and requirements
Tracking material production movements
Assisting the Eneabba team as required with any ongoing rehabilitation planning and provisioning updates
Assist with budget and provisioning preparation, reports.
Liaising with the earthworks contractor and operations team as required to achieve required rehabilitation outcomes
End of month reconciliation of disturbed and rehabilitated land
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Degree in Mining Engineering or Surveying
Proactive approach to health, safety, environment, social responsibility and sustainable development
Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
A solid background in landform design including surface water, slope and scheduling
Previous experience in a mining, processing or rehabilitation environment
Understanding of Trimble GPS and Maptek I-site scanners.
Experience in CAD programs preferably Surpac, 12D and ARCGIS.
