We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer: Projects and Infrastructure to join our Underground Mining department at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, this role will be accountable for managing underground infrastructure and ventilation projects.
This role is offered on a 4/3 fly in, fly out roster with flights directly to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie. However, flexible roster options will also be considered for this role.
Accountabilities:

• Ventilation Officer Appointment
• Develop and deliver ventilation designs to the support strategic objectives of the underground mine
• Develop and deliver services designs to the support strategic objectives of the underground mine
• Manage the design and installation of secondary egress in line with the mine's development
• Manage the design and installation of refuge chamber networks in line with the mine's operations
• Maintain and improve system process and procedures
• Project planning and execution

About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• First Class Mine Manager Certificate of Competency is desirable but not essential
• Prior experience in a similar position
• Previous experience in Ventilation and Planning
• Proven knowledge in using Ventsim and Deswik
• Prior experience in infrastructure design will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
• A current Western Australian 'C' class drivers license
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
• Ongoing permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory
