We are now seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our Underground Mining team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Mine Planning Superintendent.
This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 (or variant thereof) FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities:
Be an active safety leader in line with our values, policies and procedures
Mentor and guide the team of production, planning and scheduling engineers to ensure that the required designs and mine schedules are delivered on time and to a high quality
Monitor and track operational execution against mine plans
Identify, assess and manage risks to the execution of the mine plan
Provide effective communication of plans, schedules and identified risks to stakeholders across the operation
Identify and implement improvements across the underground operation

About You

A degree in Mining Engineering
Microsoft Office software
Previous experience in underground Mine Planning and scheduling
Practical underground mining experience
Communication and leadership skills
Deswik Software skills is desirable but not essential
Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
