Our clients are a family-owned farming business that operates an impressive sheep breeding, prime lamb and commercial cattle operation covering 1,530 hectares located at the foot of Mt Napier, near Hamilton, Victoria. This picturesque and productive property has been impressively developed and boasts laneway systems and modern undercover sheep and cattle yards and has undergone significant improvements in fencing and pastures, enabling increases in efficiency and carrying capacity. Currently running 6,000 self-replacing composite ewes and 600 commercial Angus breeding cows, as well as a hay and silage program in Spring.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative person who will be involved in all aspects of the operation, including all elements of livestock husbandry, fencing, yard building and repairs, welding, and machinery maintenance. The role will involve working with dogs and the considerate handling of livestock, often using a side-by-side for mustering.

The Ideal Candidate
Integral to success in this role is a passion for livestock and agriculture in general, along with an understanding of livestock husbandry and the following attributes:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- High regard for quality and pride taken in work
- General farm machinery and infrastructure maintenance and repair skills
- A willingness to engage with farm management technology, including Agriwebb and FarmO
- A team of reliable working dogs is desired but not essential
