Copper Resources Australia acquired the Rocklands site (located 17km north of Cloncurry) in December 2020. The processing plant and crushing circuit is full operational and we have recently acquired a new Mobile Crushing Plant.
About the role
Reporting to the Crushing Plant Supervisor, you will be part of a broader team involved in bringing copper from its raw state to a final product for export.
You will be required to:
Working as part of a team to complete tasks such as:
- Safely and effectively operating all associated support equipment, including the 40T excavator, front end loader and skid steer / bobcat.
- Safely and effectively ensuring the smooth operation of the Crushing Plant, which involves assisting with repairs and breakdowns, maintaining the chutes, clearing blockages and supporting the process team with general labouring assistance by operating hand and power tools and preparing worksites.
- Working with various teams in the wider processing, mining and maintenance groups.
- Ability to safely work day and night shifts on a rotational basis.
- Maintain a suitable level of physical fitness to carry out role which may require the employee to work at heights, lift objects, navigate their way over uneven ground and significant manual handling of tools and equipment.
The desired candidates will have the following:
- Basic knowledge of operating SCADA control systems (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in operating, calibrating cone crusher highly desirable.
- Previous experience with Jaw Crushers highly desirable
- Current manual drivers’ licence.
- Loader ticket (RII).
- Skid steer ticket ( RII).
- Forklift Ticket / Gantry Crane ticket.
- Working at Heights / Confined Space (desirable).
- Desirable Excavator ticket (RII) up to 40 tonne.
- A commitment to Safe Work Practices and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to work in hot and sometimes physically demanding conditions.
