We are currently seeking a number of Fire Suppression Technicians for field work
- Mobile Tech work in and around the Bowen Basin
- Permanent site based roles
The roles are hands-on role pertaining to the installation, service and maintenance of portable fire equipment and Fire Suppression systems across various industries and machines. The ideal technician will be from a trade background understanding the strict safety requirements working on and around mining equipment and be willing to learn new skills and processes.
Successful applicants will have: -
- Fire Suppression Experience
- Manual Drivers Licence
- An ability to work without direct and constant supervision
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and arrange service tasks and accurately complete service related documentation
- Experience with mine site work with Open Cut mines. (Desirable)
Applicants willingness to learn or obtain:-
- Ability to organise their day based on tasks given and priorities
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards including AS 5062 and AS1851
- Servicing Portable fire equipment and Vehicle suppression.
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11
Positions available are 7 on / 7 off Roster
- Mobile Tech - Blackwater Based
- Permanent Site Role - Flights via Rockhampton/Townsville
Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical, a driving history check along with regular drug and alcohol testing
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate/s.
