We are seeking skilled and experienced operators to join our team.
Our operators specialize in timber and land clearing, your role is crucial in preparing land for various purposes, including forestry operations, construction projects, and agricultural activities.
Drive in Drive out daily to and from site - Myara and Willowdale best suited to local communities.
Various rosters - 5/2, 7/7 and possible 2/1
Dozer and Excavator Operators
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment, specifically dozers, excavators and loaders. This includes knowledge of how to start, operate, and shut down the machine safely.
- Excavators offer precise control, allowing you to perform delicate tasks such as selective tree removal and precise excavation. You must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to operate the machine with finesse.
- Understanding controls, manipulating the boom, stick, and bucket effectively, and maneuvering the machine safely
- Safety is paramount in operating heavy machinery. You must be familiar with safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, your coworkers, and the environment.
- Clearing land - your primary responsibility will be to clear land efficiently and effectively. This may involve removing trees, vegetation, rocks, and other obstacles to prepare the land for various purposes, such as logging, construction, or agricultural activities.

- Understanding the terrain you're working on is essential. You should be able to assess the landscape and make decisions about the best way to clear the land while minimizing environmental impact and avoiding hazards.
- Regular maintenance of the equipment is crucial to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the equipment. As an operator, you may be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks or reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.
- In timber and land clearing operations, it's important to be mindful of environmental regulations and best practices. This includes minimizing soil erosion, protecting water sources, and preserving habitats for wildlife.
- Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other personnel on the job site is key to ensuring smooth operations and coordinating tasks effectively.
- Land clearing projects can vary widely in scope and terrain. As an operator, you should be adaptable and able to adjust your approach based on the specific requirements of each project.
Skills and Experience:
- Shredding, screening, crushing and wood sheering experience.
- Experience in timber and forestry desirable
- Must hold right to work in Australia.
- Current valid C’ and HR’ class license.
- Nationally accredited ticket/s.
- Requisite knowledge of the machinery, tools, equipment, and materials common to the role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role.
- Commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Demonstrable deadline/time management and task management skills.
- A high degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings.
- High level of work ethics, including motivation and enthusiasm.
- Flexible and versatile attitude.
- Be physically fit, appropriate to the physical nature of the position.
Other Requirements:
Must be available to attend and pass a full employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and a Work Cover WA hearing test.
