Mortgage & Compliance Credit Analyst

We require a person to work as a Credit Analyst in a full time capacity within our existing Quality Assurance team.

We are seeking an energetic person who has a good understanding of residential and consumer finance as required under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP). The successful applicant will have a history of working in mortgage and consumer finance, a positive and mature attitude, organisational skills and attention to detail.  Exposure to the New Zealand Mortgage Industry would also be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:

• Review of loan files in accordance with NCCP, Credit and Lender requirements
• Assist with coaching of our members on key learnings from reviews
• Liaise with Manager and senior staff on all membership matters
• Liaise with our members, admin staff and business partners - written and verbal
• Follow through on instructions given in relation to daily tasks
• Report systematically and promptly to all management staff as required
• Overflow administration support and other duties and tasks as requested

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Experience in Consumer and Residential finance
• A familiarity with the Mortgage Broking Industry would be highly desirable
• Good Communication and presentation Skills
• A high attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• High self-motivation and dedication
• Hands on skill with PC computer applications including all Microsoft Office programs and Internet (specifically Outlook & Word)
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Able to work as part of a team
• Exposure to the New Zealand Mortgage Industry would also be an advantage.
