We value working collaboratively with our internal & external customers to improve service delivery.About Your OpportunityAs the Senior Planning Officer - Enquiries, you will deliver effective and efficient to the business, through the provision of technical planning input to internal and external stakeholders on the future use of Seqwater's property portfolio and adjoining catchment lands, including advice on strategic land use planning and recreation.Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the unit's successful delivery of planning outputs by monitoring and managing enquires received.
- Maintains appropriate collaboration and integration with other internal stakeholders, to provide for the most effective and well-informed long-term outcomes.
- Coordinate and prepare responses to external enquiries affecting Seqwater interests in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare internal land use planning advice for leases, licenses, recreation source protection, water security, corporate communications and other matters as they arise
- Coordinate and manage Seqwater's development application, internal approvals, enquiries and state interest review registers.
- Prepare written reports, briefings and correspondence and enhance communication practices.
- Tertiary qualifications in town planning or urban and regional planning
- Strong demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Expert level verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders, external and internal clients, team members, regulatory authorities, and consultation groups. Highly developed written communication and computer literacy skills, including project scheduling and budget management.
- An unrestricted C Class Driver's license
- Experience with land and water management and/ or of water supply organisations.
- Postgraduate qualification in town planning or urban and regional planning or environmental planning
