We are currently seeking a management team- (2 persons) to manage our newly acquired, 31 room motel and restaurant in West Beach, Adelaide.
This is a permanent position, with 2 days off each week. This is a live on-site position with a three-bedroom house adjoining the property offered at a subsidised rental.
Ideally you will have previous accommodation management experience and a passion for people and the hospitality industry.
You will have strong work ethics, perform well under pressure, have outstanding customer service, the ability to work autonomously, and want to lead a small team by example.
Ideally the successful candidates with have the following key attributes:
- Commercial cooking experience. (Not essential, but beneficial. There is a small onsite restaurant that could be leased externally, but there is an option to bring back inhouse)
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Efficiency and ability to work to budgets
- Strong computer knowledge and an understanding of software-based systems. (Newbook reservation software an advantage)
- RSA Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- Ability to ensure the property (both rooms and surrounds) are maintained to a high level
- Impeccable detail for cleanliness and understanding of guest expectations for comfort
- Commitment to WHS, privacy and ethical workplace practices;
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead staff by example;
- Ability to work closely with the managing director and communicate with him on a regular basis
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, staff, and suppliers
Key Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome
- Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Manage reservations (Newbook) and ensure accuracy of guest information.
- Checking stock levels and ordering (Linen, guest amenities etc.)
- Answering phone calls, making reservations, responding to emails, quotes and trouble shooting
- Co-ordinating the daily schedule for the motel and housekeepers and ensuring smooth operation of same
- Additional ad hoc tasks as required
- Rostering and management of small team of staff
- Minor Maintenance, property and grounds upkeep
- Be on call to attend to issues after hours.
- Driving the motels courtesy bus to and from the airport (car license required)
- Assisting in restaurant (waitressing and cooking)- Not essential but preferred in the event the restaurant is retained inhouse
Qualifications/Licences and Experience:
- Experience with or knowledge of PMS - Newbook, highly regarded.
- Must have a valid RSA
- Must have a valid First Aid certificate.
- Full Driver’s licence required.
This is a hands-on role in a beautifully renovated property close to the CBD. Commencement is the 3rd of June 2024.
A 3-bedroom, 1 bathroom house is provided at discounted rent of $200.00 per week plus utilities as part of the package.
