Your TeamThe Assessing team forms part of a multi-disciplinary Motor Claims team and is responsible for the assessing phase of the claim’s management process. This includes the delivery of the internal assessing strategy through both desktop and on road assessment, and rectification and day to day supplier management.
You will join part of our remote QLD team, as well as working alongside our Assessing teams in NSW and VIC.
This is a remote role open to candidates based in QLD between the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. A company car and mobile phone will also be provided to the successful candidate.
Your duties & responsibilities- Comprehensively manage an insurance claim, including the submission of assessment report, completion of scope of works and costing estimation
- Undertake assessments as allocated
- Interact with our Customers, Clients, Trades, and internal staff to build strong relationships and capture critical information to resolve queries in relation to insurance claims
- Conduct your activity in a timely manner
- Prepare your own assessment reports to be sent directly to the client
- Minimum 3 years experience within the Motor Vehicle Assessing function for a general insurer (mandatory)
- Trade qualification (mandatory)
- Current unrestricted drivers license (mandatory)
- Extensive knowledge of the motor vehicle assessment industry and the latest repair methodology
- Working knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repair
- Strong strategic and analytical skills and be able to accurately assess damage
- Excellent communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to determine reasonable cost outcomes
