About the role
Applications are being sought for an exciting new permanent part time position for an enthusiastic and friendly Dive Instructor/ Lifeguard Trainer and Assessor to join the dive team in Port Douglas.
Reporting to the Dive Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Training new staff
- Conducting yearly assessments of all crew
- Taking first time divers for their first dive on the Great Barrier Reef
- Guide certified divers on one of the 25 Dive sites available
- Taking customer on their Ocean Walker experience
- Looking after snorkeler
- Some customer service duties on board our vessels.

About you
- Experience or willingness to learn training and assessing
- A solid understanding of PADI and QLD WHS standards
- PADI Dive Instructor
- Membership and Insurance
- Provide First Aid/ HLTAID009/011/015
- Occupational Dive Medical NZ/AU 2299
- RMDL- desirable
- Elements of Shipboard Safety-desirable
