Claims Officer

The role:
MB Insurance Group are a long standing and highly respected motor vehicle insurance underwriting agency and are seeking a bright and outgoing person to fill this full time customer service position in our Claims Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the motor vehicle claims process. The role will be carried out in our Sydney CBD office with work from home benefits available upon completion of a qualification period.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the successful applicant will be
- Maintaining office records
- Claim Lodgment
- Appointment of external service providers including assessors, investigators and recovery agents
- Answering phone enquiries from clients and brokers
- Liaise with clients and their brokers regarding claims progress
- Liaise with third parties and their insurers
- Monitor administration, quality and information systems
- Provide excellent customer service.
Skills required:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills including ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work with numbers
- Sound computer skills including MS Office365 suite
- Experience in general insurance claims preferred
Experience in general insurance claims is preferred but not a requirement to apply.
