We specialise in car servicing & other mechanical repairs, and are currently on the lookout for an energetic and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team.The successful candidate must have completed an apprenticeship and have 2/3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic.A remuneration package between $70,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the right applicant.The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work on all makes and models
- Fill out Job cards
- Keep a clean and tidy work bench
- Use Scan Tool for diagnosticsThe Motor Mechanic is one of a team responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and modifications to various types of Material Handling Equipment in accordance with the customer's requirements, the company's and manufacturers guidelines and procedures and the relevant Australian Standards.Your duties will include:
- Maintaining, testing and repairing petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computersYou will also be responsible for performing/checking:
- km service check-ups, change oil, filters, greasing, lubricating, change oil on transmission and differential
- Brake adjustments, tyre inflation pressure, tyre and wheel rim change
- Alternator belt, a/c belt and power steering belt
- Troubleshooting for engine overheating /cooling system and smoke emission testing
- Engine for loss of compression
- Brake disc run out, replace brake lining kit, brake master kit and wheel cylinder kit
- Replacement of clutch master kit and secondary clutch kit
- Manual transmission and differential overhauling
