Join our dynamic Service Department as a Technician, specializing in providing expert mechanical diagnosis, repair, and servicing in alignment with product warranty guidelines and company policies. Reporting directly to the Service Manager and Workshop Foreman, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning of our vehicles, upholding our commitment to exceptional guest service and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on the mechanical condition of vehicles, ensuring accuracy and reliability (10%)
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues according to warranty guidelines, including dismantling, reconstruction, or component replacement (10%)
- Conduct mechanical repairs on engine, transmission, and suspension systems (20%)
- Report all service or repair work to the Service Manager or Foreman and maintain detailed records (10%)
- Order necessary parts for warranty service and ensure timely delivery (10%)
- Mentor and train apprentice service technicians to foster skill development (5%)
- Stay updated on mechanical issues and changes related to our product range (5%)
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure proper tool and equipment operation (5%)
- Oversee the safe work practices of apprentice staff (5%)
- Conduct test drives and final assessments before vehicle delivery or return to guests (5%)
- Provide high-level guest service, embodying the values of our dealership (5%)

Selection Criteria:Essential:
- Technician qualifications and industry-level certification as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic
- Developed knowledge of the automotive industry

Desirable:
- Technical aptitude and post-trade experience in a similar role
- Additional qualifications in the automotive/mechanical field
