Tenure: Full time/Permanent
Responsibilities include:
- Inspect the vehicles mechanical/electrical components and be able to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems for repair and maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.)
- Schedule future maintenance intervals and advise motorists on good vehicle use
- Provide accurate estimates for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs on work and issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Requirements:
- Trade qualified Motor Mechanic
- At least 2 years of Motor Mechanical experience required.
- Must hold a Certificate III in Automotive (light vehicle)
- Proven experience as automotive mechanic - experience with European vehicles, e.g. Fiat highly regarded Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Good written and verbal communication skills
