Rail Lines Australia is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join the team at our Somerton workshop. Offering an immediate, full time position you are required to have full trade qualifications and proven experience having worked with a range of vehicle types, makes and models. These should include, utilities, trucks, semi trailers, excavators and earth moving equipment. Becoming an integral part of our service team, you will be working alongside a team of likeminded and skilled technicians to ensure an efficient, effective and high standard of operations at all times.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Taking all necessary steps to diagnose and ensure correct operation of vehicles.
- Provide expert advice in relation to mechanical condition of vehicles.
- Vehicle servicing, maintenance and safety checks and record keeping.
- Undertaking correct repairing to mechanical parts of motor vehicles in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Test driving and final assessments.
ABOUT YOU:
- Formal qualifications as an Automotive Mechanic.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Australian Citizen and Current drivers licence.
- Ability to drive manual vehicles.
- A developed knowledge of the automotive industry and a range of vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose issues.
- Highly motivated with exceptional time management skills.
