Motor Mechanic

Motor Mechanic required

SMAK Industries Pty Ltd trading as Nerang Tyre and Mechanical is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Successful applicants will ensure that tasks assigned are carried out in a timely manner and to our high standards.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

·       Providing advice about the mechanical condition of vehicles;

·       Logbook Servicing, minor and major repairs, warranty repairs and pre-delivery inspections;

·       Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with a variety of vehicles;

·       Carry out a variety of electrical repairs/maintenance;

·       Test driving and conducting quality assurance inspections;

·       Compile and maintain service records;

·       Understand the importance of safety in a workshop environment and commitment to follow WH&S directions and procedures;

·       Maintain and repair workshop equipment as required; and

·       Other duties as reasonably required.

Ideal candidates should possess:

• Minimum Certificate III in Automotive;
• At least 2 years work experience as a Motor Mechanic;
• Experience in tyre fitting is considered an advantage;
• A manual drivers licence and reliable transport;
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking;
• Ability to multi-task and think on your feet;
• Have good presentation and communication skills.

The salary offered is based upon the award but will may be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position working 38 hours a week.

       Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000 

• Flexible hours available
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
• Work visa can be provided for this role
• Expected start date for role: 01 May 2024
• Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
