We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Motorsport Business Development & TechnicalSupport Specialist. This is a 12-month maximum-term opportunity with the potential for permanent conversion based at our Head Office in Clayton and may involve occasional domestic and international travel.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Bosch Motorsport Australia (BMA) manager in expanding product sales, with an emphasis on injectors and fuel pumps.
- Understanding the market potential for Bosch's product portfolio in Australia and New Zealand
- Staying updated on Bosch's global fuel pump and injector product portfolio, serving as an expert for fuel pumps and injectors.
- Identifying and proposing commercially viable solutions to address gaps in Bosch's product portfolio.
- Overseeing development and release of new product solutions.
- Supporting customers with technical information regarding product installation and use.
- Staying updated on key competitor products; price, tech specifications and features relative to Bosch.
- Identifying growth opportunities for Bosch Motorsport product sales, focusing initially on fuel pumps and injectors, and exploring new market segments or product developments.
- Reviewing sales and marketing assets (web-shop, brochures, advertisements) for accuracy and providing advice on necessary corrections.
- Conducting customer visits to evaluate potentials and promote new business opportunities.
- Attending motorsport and trade events to support marketing activations, assess competitors, and engage potential customers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will exhibit attention to detail, persistence, autonomy, and an entrepreneurial mindset. They will expand Bosch's product portfolio, driving new development, offering Technical Support, and innovating commercial solutions.
To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant product technical development field e.g. automotive, electrical, mechanical or mechatronic engineering, industrial design.
- Knowledge of and experience with automotive fuel pump and injector installation and operation.
- Knowledge of and experience with automotive product development, validation, and release quality assurance processes.
- An ability to assess product commercial viability; production costs, market pricing & volume potentials, profitability.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
