We currently have a vacancy in our Global Forwarding business for a Technical and Business Development Manager - DHL Ocean Bulk Australia. This is a full-time position. This role will be based in our Geelong Station, VIC. This position is within our Ocean BULK division.

FORWARDING EXPERTS WITH GLOBAL REACH & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
Our Ocean BULK division provides an end-to-end transportation solution of liquid cargo. As a Technical and Business Development Manager - DHL Ocean Bulk Australia within our Ocean BULK division, you will be responsible for:

• Providing support in the day-to-day implementation of the technical support and sustainability requirements
• Support local sales and work independently to grow the business by developing customer facing relationships to directly contribute to the DHL Ocean Bulk performance
• Responsibility for Oceania Field Technical related matters including in field support
• Log incidents in the central incident management system and resolving/correcting incidents with 3rd party suppliers
• Following up customers – recommend options and suggestions to queries
• Providing in-country support and fitting depot supervision including site visits with fitting depots to ensure tanks and lines are fitted to standard
• Support the technical field teams where required and assist in product training for employees and customers
• Proving feedback of technical issues
• Developing technical processes to improve technical understanding of equipment to supply bulk service offering
• Promote sustainability within the region, collaborate and share information across the global sustainability network
• Regional point of contact on sustainability issues, report on process and keep team updated.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Minimum five (5) years previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry within the flexitank industry and Ocean Bulk product
• Thorough knowledge of Field Technical processes
• Experience in logistics with packaging knowledge would be desirable
• Ability to interpret Engineering drawing and MSDS Sheets (preferred)
• Ability to analyse technical information
• Well developed communication skills to liaise with people at all levels
• Be result driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills with a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
• Given the autonomous nature of this role, you're comfortable working independently
• Demonstrated experience and capability in building sales pipelines.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
