Location : Brisbane CBD. (Hybrid working arrangements)
As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will take on a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining the end-to-end technical requirements of the department's Microsoft Dynamics and Power Apps suite of applications. This position will provide technical design and delivery oversight/assistance; taking inputs from architecture, networks, security, and other relevant domains, to support and maintain the operability of relevant systems. Your central objective will revolve around ensuring the delivery of cohesive and efficient business solutions that significantly contribute to the department’s objectives.
You will actively engage in project and governance forums, working to seamlessly align business analysis with the overarching objectives of maintaining systems in accordance with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the key teams and individuals to maintain and support the core business functionality of the D365 environment.
- Utilise business process modelling techniques to depict process flows and identify areas for enhancement.
- Transforming business requirements into technical deliverables aligning with industry best practices, while managing cross stream dependencies.
- Working with project teams to develop and prepare documentation such as technical requirements, workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Provide support for users and perform troubleshooting, including root cause analysis of production issues and documenting resolutions.
- Interpret requirements and develop software following the vision of team leadership and architectural design, while working against a product backlog in an agile development environment.
- Build and nurture strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and stakeholder involvement to support requirements gathering, clarifying objectives, and managing expectations to guarantee the successful implementation of recommended solutions.
- Contribute to initiatives that positively impact stakeholders within the VET domain.

- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience as a Dynamics 365 developer, including a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of complex business initiatives.
- Strategic Alignment: Experience aligning technical delivery efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring that solutions support the overarching goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, departments, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience engaging with stakeholders at various levels, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships to facilitate communication.
- Decision Support: Track record of contributing to informed decision-making through clear and insightful analysis.
- Delivery: Hands-on experience translating business requirements into actionable solutions, collaborating across teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in documenting analysis findings, and requirements, and presenting them to stakeholders in clear and concise formats.
- Previous experience (3+ years) in Microsoft Dynamics 365(MANDATORY) ecosystem, Azure Pipelines and Power Apps Flows .
- Experience in developing Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Experience in integrating and consuming Azure platform services across components using Pipelines, Dataverse and Power Apps Flows.
- Experience in managing and contributing to projects, preferably within the context of digital transformation or modernizationsation initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of DevOps pipeline and release and environment management, within an Agile delivery environment.
- Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
