The Strategic Communications branch is part of the Strategic, Insight and Advisory Division. We take a strategic, whole-of-department view of communication, managing the department's reputation and providing context and consistency to all communication messaging. We focus on a few key areas: strategic communication; media; online, social media and digital strategy; marketing and creative; and internal communication.
The strengths and experience we are looking for in the Multimedia Officer include:- Contributing to the development of digital and multimedia material including video, photography, web and social media graphics, simple animations, and a range of digital assets for social media and online-based platforms.- Liaising with and providing advice to communication officers and other internal clients on the design and production of materials to suit the department's communication needs, ensuring a strategic alignment between client needs and department objectives.- Coordinating creative projects and requests from conception to completion and briefing internal clients on process and progress.- Operating industry standard design, publishing, and video editing systems (such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Suite etc.)- Applying and managing department corporate identity standards across all digital and visual outputs.- Actively engaging in a team environment and positive culture, by demonstrating our core values, celebrating success, and committing to continued learning and development.
