We are currently looking to expand our internal trade team in Rockhampton and are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade to join our team.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Display proficiency in carpentry by constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, frameworks, and fittings.
- Skilfully install plasterboard on walls and ceilings, ensuring precise alignment, proper attachment, and seamless finishing.
- Perform high-quality painting tasks, from surface preparation to applying finishes, achieving professional and visually appealing results.
- Conduct general property repairs, addressing a wide range of issues to maintain the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of properties.
- Demonstrate expertise in ceramic tiling, accurately measuring, cutting, and installing tiles on various surfaces to achieve both functional and aesthetically pleasing outcomes.
- Analyse and diagnose issues across different trade disciplines, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Manage multi-trade projects from start to finish, coordinating tasks, materials, and timelines to ensure successful completion.
- Quoting, provide cost estimates for materials and labour
- Uphold high standards of workmanship and quality across all trades, ensuring that finished work meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Transition smoothly between different trade types and tasks, adapting to changing priorities and effectively managing workloads.
- Utilise a wide range of tools and equipment associated with carpentry, plasterboard, painting, property repairs, and ceramic tiling.
- Responsible for supplying and maintaining personal tools of trade, including brushes, rollers, and hand tools, to ensure efficient and effective work execution.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines for documentation and future reference.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task together with a can-do attitude
- A strong understanding of customer service
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Contribute to and comply with all statutory legislation including the relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures applicable to Ambrose Construct Group
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Possess a valid trade license/ certification in accordance with the applicable state and/or territory regulations in Australia if required, covering the specified trade disciplines for general repairs.
- Driver’s licence
- White Card
- Police Clearance obtained within the last 3 years.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products.
