About the role
- Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
- Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
- Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
- Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs.
- Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
In addition, the role of the Multiple Myeloma and associated plasma cell disorders CNC would include:
- Complex monitoring and managing symptoms of the disease and treatment complications.
- Providing ongoing disease and therapy education
- Screening for social and psychological support needs and ensuring relevant referrals to the multidisciplinary team are made.
- Routinely screen patients for clinical trials, leading to improved access to trials.
- Support the CRGH Haematology Department in establishing a multidisciplinary myeloma and associated plasma cell disorders clinic, centralizing resources, and expertise to ensure high level care is delivered to patients.
We are looking for someone who has …
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
